Still a Camp Director

Realized last night I’m still a camp director. Long story, but was brainstorming about ways to bring a group close and suggested a retreat.

Had a similar experience writing a blog when I realized I was still a teacher. And, while comforting a grieving student this summer, the pastor in me showed up.

Funny, the experts say retirees feel depressed because we’ve lost our identities, yet mine seem to have followed me through the years.

Retirement just gives me the chance to add still another. And maybe another after that.

Anyway, in tomorrow’s blog, I’ll tell you about an identity I’ve retained through all the career changes. It’s one I took on in childhood.
