Santa Fe

Did you know Santa Fe, New Mexico is the 2nd oldest capitol city in the U.S.?

Yep, Santa Fe was established by Spanish missionaries in 1607, 13 years before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Today, the city has the oldest government seat, the oldest church and the oldest house in the U.S.

Today, Charlotte and I leave for a two-night getaway at our favorite getaway spot. We’ll hang out on Santa Fe’s historic plaza (a good place to people watch), separate for some alone time (she’ll visit her resale shops and I’ll do some mountain climbing) and, of course, we’ll dine at the best Tex-Mex places in the world (can’t wait to taste the blue corn enchiladas at Tomasita’s).

So, you might want to don your sarapes and sombreros over the next few days since I intend to take you along via this blog.

Hasta mañana.
