I’ve chosen a stand of aspen trees as the symbol for the retirement years because they are located near the top of the mountain (think of accomplishing those dreams we’ve spent a lifetime chasing), they are most striking during autumn (goes with the first point), and they grow from a single root system (each tree thrives with the support of all; good friends are indispensable).
