The Urgent and the Important

“The important is seldom urgent, and the urgent is seldom important.” I think it was Dwight D. Einsenhower who first said that, and it rings true with me, especially while working on this book. So easy to let urgent things, reading student papers for instance, crowd out promotional work.

But it’s not that easy; is it? For most of us, the urgent stuff is what we get paid to do. It’s both urgent and important. So here’s my plan: do at least one thing per day that is important to the success of I Saw Jesus This Morning, whether it be urgent or not.

I’ll need some accountability. That’s where you come in. 🙂
