Like phone messages I said I would deliver. Or projects I said I would complete. Or, just recently, a promise to send an email address to a friend.
I don’t mean to forget. Which is the reason I carry a Day-Timer. When you ask me for something, and I put it in the planner, chances are I’ll get it done.
Unless I forget to look at the Day-Timer. Which happens often on weekends. Which explains why I almost missed an important family dinner on Friday.
Was saved by the last-minute text message from a cousin who said he couldn’t make it.
Which meant I could. Or would.
Sometimes, I get lucky.
