I\u2019ve been saying goodbye to students for over 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, I plan to see many of them again. There are no rules against hanging out with former pupils.<\/p>\n<p>The same goes for colleagues. I\u2019m convinced I\u2019ll see more of some of you post-retirement, when my schedule is more flexible, and when I\u2019ll miss the daily hall-chats I take for granted now.<\/p>\n<p>No, I\u2019m not sad. I\u2019m pensive: thankful for the past, optimistic about the future\u2014but still clueless about what I\u2019ll be doing in another month.
