Me? I like summer because it provides opportunity for my favorite hikes\u2014mostly in the high country of New Mexico and Colorado, where snow often blocks the trail until the first of July.<\/p>\n
I start feeling it in June, the irresistible pull of lush arctic tundra, colorful Indian paintbrushes, playful marmots and inquisitive Rocky Mountain goats, the perfect amenities for the perfect summer hikes.<\/p>\n
