Now, I\u2019ve decided it\u2019s more of a work on aging and fitness.<\/p>\n<p>Last month I turned 77, and I\u2019m still walking five miles most days in the week. When I have to be indoors, I\u2019m on a spinner bike that helps build cardio endurance for longer walks.<\/p>\n<p>Last year I developed a throbbing nerve pain in my knee. What did I do?<\/p>\n<p>I found a way to keep walking. An orthopedist was involved, as well as a physical therapist (Did you know PT stands for Personal Torturer?) who put me through muscle strengthening, stretching and balancing exercises. On my own I experimented with some Tai Chi moves.<\/p>\n<p>At my age, one might ask, \u201cwhy bother?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My answer\u2014Because if the Good Lord gives me the days, I plan to be healthy and fit well into my 90s.<\/p>\n<p>And to be fit I need an exercise that I love (otherwise I won\u2019t keep at it). I expect you do too.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what this book is all about.<\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p>So this book is actually a redo of an earlier book. Why a redo?
