As a popular newspaper columnist, award-winning college professor and bestselling author, Mike Bellah has been writing to and about the baby boom generation for over 30 years.
His first retirement book, The Best Is Yet To Be: Discovering the Secret to a Creative, Happy Retirement, challenges conventional wisdom by suggesting that more money is not the greatest need of retirees. “What if there’s something else, something that costs nothing, but something that will supply all you need (including the funds) for what could be the happiest years of your life?”
Dr. Bellah’s second work on the subject, The Best Retirement Gifts Are Free, tells readers how they can retire successfully, even in a pandemic.
On a lighter note, Bellah’s 2022 release is titled 1001 Fun Things To Do in Retirement. Fact filled, fast paced and witty, the book is a practical guide for adventuresome boomers.
Married for over 50 years, Mike and Charlotte Bellah have five children and 10 grandchildren. They live in the retirement home they built in a little Texas canyon where Mike enjoys biking, hiking and working at his retirement gigs.
