Fifteen days into retirement and I have some observations.

One, I’m much busier than I would have thought had I made a prediction, say, a year ago. Selling a house and building one are time-consuming.

Two, I’m doing things now—important things—that I would not have time for if still working full-time.

Three, the two activities that have consumed me will be completed soon (one ends today with the closing of our house sale; building the new one should be done by the end of July). So, I’m about to have plenty of time for other pursuits.

Four, we’re spending more time with family, friends and with each other.

And five, I’m loving it.

P.S. Homelessness is not so bad if you have the friends we do. I could get used to this. 🙂
