My Mood Adjuster

About to get on my bicycle this morning, early because it’s going to be another scorcher (topped 100 in Amarillo yesterday).

With the cleaning and moving of the last few days, I’ve missed regular biking, but I don’t plan to miss much of it in the days to come.

Because hopping on that Bianchi mountain bike every morning is my stress reliever. It gives all that adrenaline, produced by too-frequent anxieties, somewhere to go and something to do.

And the open prairie south of Canyon does something for my spirit, too. It’s a perspective thing. Somehow, when placed alongside the vast ranch lands of West Texas, life’s problems don’t seem so big.
